1. Complete Tutorial   (10 minutes to complete)
2. Make it to level 10  ( 1.5 - 2 hours to complete, can be done passively)

Tips and Tricks:

• Save your gems (the premium "pay 2 win" ingame currency)
• The first map, 10 missions, and the related quests (daily and main plot) will leave you almost exactly at level 10.  This takes no more than 15 minutes. The remaining 5 levels will take the bulk of your time.  
• Focus your skill points on healer first, then main tank, then arrow chick.  The best damage skills are the AOE attacks.  Keep up on the regenerating skill points and your team will level quickly. 
• To get hella gems, make sure you are taking part in the arena as often as you can while you complete the offer.  You can make 100+ gems if you skip a ton of rank by beating someone way higher than you.  There is a 10 minute cool down in between every single fight.
• This game works the same was as "Guns and Magic"  another facebook game that Trial pay offers.  I'd play hero wars in browser, whilst playing GaM in the gameroom program natively at the same time.  Swapping off in between level runs with both of them in afk mode.  After the tutorial in HW you can go automatic, I believe it is lvl 20 in GaM.  
• If you go to Hero Wars official facebook page they post links every day with special offers.  Some days these chests/items are really helpful in your early game/leveling to 15.
